Pathiramanal is a tiny island that captivates the eyes with its enchanting scenic beauty. This beautiful island is surrounded by the Vembanad Lake which is Asia's largest freshwater lakes, hence it is accessible only via boat. Spreading across an area of about 10 acres, the Pathiramanal Island is embedded with thick groves of mangroves, mango trees, and coconut palms which gives a forest feel to the Island. Pathiramanal Island also serves as a favourite haunt for a rare variety of migratory birds that comes from different parts of the world. The most highlighting feature of this island is that it has a zoo and an aquarium to attract the tourists.
