The Aruvikkara Dam which was built to provide water to the city of Trivandrum and to support the agricultural activity in the surrounding villages is now a well-known tourist spot which is frequented by families and friends. The Aruvikkara Bhagavathy Temple dedicated to Goddess Durga which is built on a rock is the prime attraction here.
