Hill Palace which is located in Thripunithura, Ernakulam district, is the largest archaeological museum and the first heritage museum in Kerala. As the setting of this palace is atop a hill, it came to be known as Hill Palace. The palace complex comprises of 49 buildings and is built in traditional Kerala style architecture. It also contains 8 different galleries which house a variety of exhibits. In this Palace, you can find a heritage museum, archaeological museum, deer park, and a well-maintained pre-historic park. The Hill Palace showcases many artefacts belonging to the Kochi royal family along with Chinese and Japanese art and pottery.
