Being the most renowned Hindu temple in Kerala, Chettikulangara Devi Temple draws large crowds of devotees. Sree Bhadrakali is the main deity of this temple. The most unique feature of this temple is that the Goddess is worshipped in three different forms: Maha Saraswathi, Maha Lakshmi and Durga or Maha Kali. The Chettikulangara Temple is built 1200 years ago and is treated as a religious and cultural icon. The Kettukazhcha festival at this temple is very famous during which brightly ornamented statuette of horses and bullocks are taken in procession to the temple. Another special practice held in this temple is that on the first day of every month, a lamp with 1001 lighting points is lit as an offering to Maha Bhadrakali.
