St Mary's Church, also known as Kottayam Cheriapally is a beautiful shrine that attracts devotees, pilgrims as well as art lovers with its amazing blend of Kerala and Portuguese architectural styles. The pillars, cornices, pediments, and galleries in the European style is truly outstanding. Built in the year 1579, it is one of the oldest cathedrals in India.
