The Folklore Museum is a treasure trove of the rich heritage of Kerala. This is a three-storied complex built to preserve the luxurious folklore wealth of Kerala. The marvelous Folklore museum is designed in the architectural style of Malabar which attracts many architecture lovers. This cultural hub attracts history buffs, art lovers, travelers and researches from all over the world. A total of around 4000 artefacts are preserved at this museum such as wood, bronze and stone sculptures, musical instruments, costumes of traditional and ritual art forms, ancient terracotta jewellery, paintings etc. It is a great place to take students for the excursion to understand the rich culture and heritage of Kerala from the exhibits of the museum. The theatre in the museum that conducts authentic stage performance of the South Indian culture, catches the attention of the visitors.
